THIS IS THE JOB

• You are a part of a global Life Science team, you will be working on the design and implementation of a new end-to-end data ecosystem for different business units of a pharmaceutical customer
• You build cloud-native data platforms which serve as the basis for implementation of different use cases in R&D and Manufacturing
• You design cross-divisional data architectures.
• You define the data model types and curated models
• You develop concepts for data integration
• You are responsible for the conceptual design for automation of data pipelines
• You work closely together with customers domains experts on solution for drug discovery, clinical study design, clinical trial planning and operations, self-service applications and automation for labs and anomaly detection

THIS IS WHAT WE NEED

• Degree in computer science, business informatics or a comparable IT education
• Professional experience as a data architect in an enterprise environment
• Know-how in the use of the AWS Data Engineering stack (e. g. Glue, Athena, Redshift)
• Proficient with relational databases (e. g. DB2, Oracle, My SQL) and ideally hands-on experience with NoSQL databases (e. g. MongoDB)
• Experience with Spark, Spark Streaming and Delta Lake
• Solid experience in data engineering: building ETL processes, data connectivity to reporting…
• Solid knowledge of streaming and message brokers e. g. Kafka
• Good knowledge in the area of conceptual modeling and good programming skills, preferably in Python
• Business fluent in English and very good presentation and communication skills, German skills are a plus
