Quality Engineer for Home Network Security SDK

Former F-Secure Corporation is undergoing perhaps the most significant transition throughout its history so far, as the company pursues to separate its consumer and corporate security businesses from each other through a partial demerger. Upon completion of the demerger, F-Secure’s B2C and B2B operations will continue as two independent publicly listed entities: F-Secure Corporation, focusing on consumer security business, and WithSecure Corporation, focusing on corporate security business. Trading on F-Secure shares on Nasdaq Helsinki OMX is expected to begin on 1 July 2022.

Connected Home Security (CHS) - this area is ever expanding with the mass adoption of consumer IoT devices. F-Secure SENSE protects all of your home’s internet-enabled devices from cyber attacks and threats. That means not only computers and phones, but also smart TVs, gaming consoles, fridges, washing machines, baby monitors - anything connected to the home network. Consumers are already concerned about the security and privacy of their IoT devices; by becoming part of our team, you’ll play an integral part in assuring them that we’ve got their back.

To maintain our very high level of customer satisfaction and our edge in cybersecurity for the home, software quality is very important to us. We are looking for a Quality Engineer to join our embedded SDK development team.

Key responsibilities :

• Defining a quality baseline and improvement actions for our core embedded SDK product, including reference platforms and how to test against them
• Watching, learning, collaborating and challenging us in our thinking of how software should be built
• Designing, writing,and maintaining automated test cases based on the product requirements and networking standards
• Raising, documenting and maintaining report about product defects
• Working with continuous integration system and its infrastructure
• Collaborating across development teams and with stakeholders

What are we looking for?

• Experience in designing, developing and maintaining tests automation scripts (Python/Shell/Bash/Robot Framework) on embedded system (Linux)
• Fluent in using command line interface in different operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux)
• Experience or interest in testing of embedded/firmware software
• Experience in testing, test leadership, hands-on and automated testing
• Some advanced knowledge about computer networking
• Curiosity about Internet security and technologies
• A good command of English

What we consider a bonus :

• Experienced with configuring and maintaining CDRouter tool or any similar router testing tools
• Good awareness of internet-of-things (IoT) technologies and its threat landscape
• Awareness and advanced knowledge on computer networking or network administration
