IT Project Manager

Sword Services Greece is seeking to recruit a high caliber, energetic individual to join its Account & Project Management Department in Greece as an IT Project Manager. The successful candidate will work in a multinational environment on a multitude of tasks supporting our core business in large International Information Systems. What you will do...

• Monitors budget on a monthly basis in collaboration with the financial controller and report appropriately;
• Reports and escalates to BU management as needed;
• Participates and reports at the regular and ad hoc BU and Company meeting as required;
• Collaborates with the company designated personnel during internal audits (financial and certification);
• Manages the execution of the project in accordance with the company processes always in alignment with the company’s ISO 9001:2015, 27001:2013 and 20000-1:2018; report and document any deviations;
• Prepares an internal project budget, justify it and get it through the approval process;
• Uses appropriate, company approved, tools and techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs;
• Responds to the customers RfOs and CRs. For preparing the response, collaborates with resources requested to and provided by the Department Heads. Negotiate with the customer offers in terms of scope, planning and budget;
• Participates in meetings with the customer as needed, reports to the customer on a regular or ad hoc basis;
• Coordinates internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects;
• Provides effective leadership for the project team ensuring that team members are motivated and constantly developing their skills and experience;
• Approves the detailed project plan prepared by the Project Technical Leader; Tracks project progress;
• In collaboration with the Project Technical Leader or the Scrum Master (as the case may be), develops and maintain a detailed DTM (deliverables tracking matrix) available to the team as needed;
• Performs risk management to minimize project risks; analyze and manage & report risks;
• Measures project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques;
• Manages and guides the team in terms of project activities and tasks; review and validate progress and deliverables as per the Project Plan, DTM and Quality Plans;
• Manages the relationship and coordinate with the client and all stakeholders, including vendors of COTS and other suppliers’ vendors for the flawless execution of projects;
• Manages the creation and maintenance of comprehensive project documentation;
• Ensures resource availability and allocation in collaboration with the Department Heads;
• Ensures that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget;
• Ensures that all projects are delivered meeting the required level of quality;
• Develops project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility always in collaboration with the Department Heads;
• Contributes to the BU's knowledge repository.

What is your experience...

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology field;
• 3 years minimum work experience in the IT Industry;
• Good knowledge of project management standards and methodologies;
• Prior experience in Software Development;
• Usage of project management tools as required by the Customer (e.g. JIRA, MS Project);
• Practical knowledge of reporting methods;
• Ability to give presentations;
• Ability to apply high quality standards to all tasks;
• Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, good communication skills;
• Capability of working in an international/multi-cultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in team, understanding the needs, objectives and constraints of those in other disciplines and functions;
• Leadership capability;
• Practical knowledge of quality standards linked to software development (e.g. ISO 9001:2015, 27001:2013, 20000-1:2018 and 10006:2017);
• Excellent command of the English language, verbally and written;
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification will be considered an asset.
