Sword Services Greece is seeking to recruit a high caliber, energetic individual to join our Software Development team, being based in Athens as an IT Solutions Architect . The successful candidate will work in a multicultural environment supporting our core business in large Information Systems for the European Commission. What you will do...

• Design and Review the architecture of Information Systems;
• Analyze the integration of different information systems;
• Produce software architecture documents, blueprints, best practices;
• Assist in the technical documentation of the offered solutions to customers;
• Communicate system architecture to technical and business audiences;
• Define product solutions leveraging defined functional component model libraries and the product line architecture roadmap;
• Propose IT products based on cost benefit analysis and research;
• Define, document and develop best practices, design patterns and technology standards;
• Provide technical leadership to development teams;
• Research and monitor technology developments and industry trends, assesses their relevancy to the organization, and makes recommendations to enhance productivity
• Analyze current solutions and identifies opportunities for improvements and automation
• Contribute to the Architecture Repository and participate in the Architecture Board

What is your experience…

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar;
• Minimum 7 years of experience in software development of Information Systems;
• At least 3 years of experience working as an IT Solution Architect;
• Extensive hands-on experience with Java EE or Spring;
• Experience providing technical leadership to development teams;
• Experience working in Agile teams;
• Experience developing applications on microservices architecture;
• Familiar with TOGAF and ITIL.

Experience in the following technologies will be considered an asset :

• Experience in SOA, Data Processing, Streaming (preferably Kafka) and Cloud Native Architectures;
• Migrating applications to the cloud;
• Knowledge of ML / AI / NLP / Data Analytics (preferably hands-on);
• Web development frameworks (preferably React) and CMS (Drupal);
• Professional certification(s) such as Oracle Certified Master (OCM), TOGAF, ArchiMate or AWS Certified solutions architect;
• Knowledge of the IP domain.
