Job Description

Location: Prague, Czech Republic

We are looking for an experienced leader for a group of architects, analysts, and testers working on projects in the Financial Services area.

The people manager for our Solutioning & Testing Unit will report directly to the Head of Software Development Practice as a part of the extended leadership team and lead the unit, partially working on projects in senior or supervisory roles.

As our unit manager, you will be

  • Managing the best talents to create distinctive offers and successfully deliver projects, contributing to offer & content development
  • Securing staffing of relevant profiles to match the project needs, proactively planning appropriate delivery resources available for the engagement
  • Controlling Unit KPIs, running forecasts, and supporting Resource Management
  • Holding interviews and controlling staffing in collaboration with our recruitment team, functioning as a hiring manager
  • Setting the annual objectives and advising on career paths for team members, including planning the members’ training and learning development
  • Running performance evaluation processe s , leading & validating calibration, employee benefits, and participating in promotion committees
  • Planning skills development to support business needs, controlling reskilling and job rotation programs
  • Managing the overall team growth , satisfaction, and utilization
  • And handling day-to-day activities such as regular team communication and general guidance of individual members

What qualities are we looking for?

  • Familiarity and practice with people management
  • Proven experience in leading software development teams and deploying & integrating software solutions
  • Excellent interpersonal , written, and verbal communication skills
  • Aptitude for problem-solving, analytical thinking, and conflict management
  • An advanced level of English in both written and spoken forms
  • An expert level of Czech in both written and spoken form

What else is nice to have?

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Project management skills and an experience with pre-sales activities
  • And natural mentoring and leadership abilities
