Sword Services S.A. Greece is seeking to recruit a high caliber, energetic individual to join our team in Greece as a Development and Operations Support Engineer (DevOps). The successful candidate will work in a multinational environment, on a multitude of tasks supporting our client's core business in large International Information Systems. What you will do...
- Implement, administer and maintain Linux virtual infrastructure, databases and applications servers, including provisioning, backups and restores, upgrades and monitoring;
- Develop and manage the automated build system, automated deployment system, continuous integration environment;
- Automate monitoring tools to monitor system health and reliability to support high uptime requirements;
- Automated creation of machine images and Containers
- Troubleshoot software and infrastructure issues as needed;
- Communication complex technical solutions to a broad range of stakeholders within the business;
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities.
What is your experience…
- Bachelor’s degree in a CS/IS/IT/System Administration related field or equivalent experience;
- 2+ years in a DevOps or equivalent role with a strong background in Linux/Unix Administration;
- Very good knowledge in containerization technologies (i.e., Docker, Kubernetes);
- Working knowledge of Helm Charts;
- Experience with automating deployment (CI/CD) using DevOps tools (i.e., Ansible, Jenkins);
- Experience with Version control systems (i.e., Git, GitLab, SVN);
- Excellent command of the English language both written & spoken;
- Ability and willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
Experience in the following technologies will be considered an asset:
- Experience designing and supporting cloud environments;
- Working knowledge of SonarQube, Nexus;
- Working knowledge of Argo CD;
- Working knowledge of AWS Administration;
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash and Python;
- Troubleshooting and debugging application related network issues;
- Certification in Cloud Technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS) is considered a plus;
- Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service.
