The Position:

Affectiva is hiring a Senior Director, Product Management in our Automotive Solutions division. This role owns our market-leading Interior Sensing product and is a key leadership position with high visibility both internally and externally. Responsibilities will include defining & prioritizing product requirements, indirectly managing product execution, informing on emerging trends in the industry, supporting our global Business Development & Sales team, and collaborating with Marketing to define compelling messaging & collateral.

About you:

The ideal candidate will also serve as an industry thought leader & domain expert on the evolving Interior Sensing market - including staying abreast of pending and potential legislation - and advocate publicly to drive the future of mobility and safe transportation with next-generation Interior Sensing capabilities.

We are looking for a highly creative, hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial company environment. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter who is comfortable operating with minimal oversight.

You will join a global organization headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden with major offices in the United States, Egypt and satellite offices around the world. This role will be based in the United States and report to the Vice President of Automotive Solutions, based in Germany.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define Affectiva’s Interior Sensing product strategy by synthesizing input from customers, partners, executives, sales, services and engineering
  • Define actionable requirements at a market, product and technical level
  • Own the Interior Sensing product roadmap
  • Serve as the Voice of the Customer internally to ensure that product releases meet documented market & customer needs
  • Work closely with the Product Development organization to ensure timely execution of the product roadmap
  • Collaborate with the Research division to structure studies & POCs that will drive the future of the Automotive Interior Sensing market
  • Evangelize products and serve as the subject matter expert for internal audiences, customers, industry bodies, conferences and other market facing communications
  • Balance short-term needs and long-term goals

Skills & Requirements

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of product management experience, actively working in Automotive software with 5+ years' experience
  • Deep experience researching and understanding client and market requirements to develop short- and long-term product roadmaps and plans
  • Familiarity & experience with Automotive Functional Safety processes
  • Demonstrated success delivering an Automotive Software product to production
  • Ability to manage in a matrixed organization and work collaboratively to create a results-driven, team-oriented environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to operate autonomously & execute on strategic priorities with minimal oversight
  • A passion for revolutionizing the in-vehicle experience and providing a safer, more engaging & enriching environment for drivers & passengers
  • Ability to manage customers and work with teams in different time zones
  • As a global organization, travel requirements may vary depending on location, with a willingness to travel estimated 10-30% of working days

Education:

  • M.B.A. or equivalent experience
