Northvolt has an exciting job offer in the Equipment Purchasing Team to join our passionate team!
Northvolt Purchasing is a central procurement function serving all entities of Northvolt with strategic and operational aspects of the equipment supply chain.
As a Project Purchasing Manager, your main objective is to plan and execute equipment industrialisation projects from an idea stage to mass production scale. You will be in daily interaction with the Northvolt engineering teams and equipment suppliers. The role will require you to move between locations on a weekly basis.
Through the successful industrialisation of quantum leap technologies, you will get the chance to have a real impact on the success story of Northvolt.
Key responsibilities :
- Moderate initial technical discussions at the early stages of a project between Northvolt Engineering and potential equipment suppliers
- Ensure that requirements and the technical solutions are well specified and feasible for the project to deliver
- Facilitate effective joint-development environment collaboration between Northvolt and Supplier
- Conduct business and technical reviews with leadership and executive teams on a regular basis to communicate and present project status, highlight schedule risk, and develop recovery plans in the event of project slip
- Steer and assure Time-to-Market and fulfilment Equipment performance KPIs and full technical feasibility, from small-scale to mass production equipment
- Enable Value Engineering and Design to Cost collaboration approach to assure best possible CAPEX & OPEX equipment cost

Skills & Requirements
Education/Experience
- Bachelor or Master’s in engineering degree with preferred focus on Project Management in Procurement, and/or equivalent work experience
- At least 3 years of demonstrated Project Management experience
- Fluency in English is required
- Experience identifying requirements and clearly documenting specifications
- Experience and interest in the manufacturing industry is a plus
- Team player, able to influence and convince other team members and project stakeholders

- Highly organised and has an eye for detail
- Exceptionally good project management & problem-solving skillsKnowledge from Project Purchasing management is a clear big plus
- Can do attitude and an entrepreneurialspirit
- Ability to work in cross functional and multi-cultural environment well with others in a team environment, as well as ability to work very independently

- Ability to travel to different locations 20% of the time
