The platform team
You will be part of an open-minded, agile, and cross-functional team that loves to solve problems and innovate!

The platform team is a centralised team which aims to serve other tech teams in Lendo with standardised reusable components and a centralised platform. The objective of the platform team is to make it easier for these tech teams to deliver the functionality needed in the specific market they work for. The job of the platform team is to deliver great products and services created by engineers for engineers.

We are therefore looking forward to growing and strengthening the team with an additional technical superstar!

The role
The team needs a well organised doer who is great at collaborating with other smart minds on highly challenging technical challenges and topics.

As technical platform manager your main focus will be to develop the technical strategy and architecture of the centralised platform. This you will do together with the whole platform team and the many other stakeholders.

Some of the tasks you will be doing:

  • Be a team member and work together with engineers on technical problems and solutions.

  • Collaborate with the Platform Product owner on how technical capabilities can meet the common business needs in the markets

  • Facilitate technical architecture and design discussions and decisions with the team and stakeholders

  • Evaluate different micro service design patterns and best practices that can be brought into the Lendo platform

  • Develop architectural principles and practices which guide the development of the centralised platform

  • Document as is and to be state for the components within the platform and map out data flows and events using a suitable tool (miro, gliffy, draw.io etc.)

  • Keep technical documentation of the platform relevant and up to date

  • Identify and work with technical questions / challenges in an effective and efficient manner

  • Build prototypes or proof of concepts to demonstrate and test out different options with the other engineers

We are looking for someone who:

  • You’re a curious techie and a excellent communicator

  • Self driven, structured and detail focused

  • Experience working as a engineer or developer and have good knowledge in some development languages, preferably Go or a similar language

  • Knowledgeable and passionate about microservice architecture

  • Familiar with tools like: Travis, Docker, Kubernetes, Git

  • Experience with event driven architecture (e.g. RabbitMQ) and integration knowledge (e.g. APIs, asynchronous and synchronous com)

  • Experience designing, building, refactoring and/or operating IT systems - preferably in the cloud

  • Familiar with well Architected frameworks, how to conduct reviews and use them proactively

  • Be creative and eager to pitch ideas openly with the team, but also curious of other people's ideas and solutions

  • Facilitator of discussions and decisions, not just driving through own opinions

  • Identify and keep track of metrics that tell you how our platform is performing

  • Bring your own unique skill set to the table
