Northvolt is a European supplier of high-quality battery cells and systems, made in an environmentally sustainable way. The company was founded in 2016 with the mission to build the world’s greenest battery with a minimal carbon footprint and the highest recycling capabilities.

In the plant located in Gdańsk we produce energy storage systems and battery modules that replace internal combustion engines in industrial machines. Currently Northvolt Poland is increasing its manufacturing capabilities by building a highly-automated, state-of-the-art production plant.

With our rapid expansion, we are looking for Quality Engineer - Energy Storage Systems.

Key responsibilities:

  • Implementing of quality standards in the organization and continuous improvement
  • Creating documents and quality reports
  • Initiating and implementing corrective and preventive actions
  • Participating in implementations of new projects
  • Solving quality issues
  • Organizing internal trainings
  • Defining, implementing and documenting measurement methods and control plans

Skills & Requirements

Qualifications / Experience

  • Strong knowledge of technical drawing
  • Min. 2 years of experience, preferably in the following processes of assembly of electric / electronic components (SMT would be a PLUS)
  • Technical education degree would be a PLUS
  • Experience in work in electronic company would be a PLUS
  • Professional knowledge of measurements and the ability to use measuring equipment (micrometer, altimeter, paint thickness gauge, gauge go / no go)
  • Ability to quickly and efficiently analyze a problem using tools: 8D report, 5Why, Ishikawa, FMEA.
  • Basic knowledge of LEAN techniques: SMED, Kanban, Kaizen, 5S, VSM, TPM, Poka-Yoke, PDCA
  • Experience in creating of quality documentation: Control Plan, PFMEA, Working Instruction, PPAP
  • Basic knowledge of capability study
  • Fluent English
  • Permission to work in Poland

About the company

Northvolt was founded in 2016 with the mission to build the world’s greenest battery cell, with a minimal carbon footprint and the highest ambitions for recycling, to enable the European transition to renewable energy. Northvolt’s team of experts is building the next generation battery cell factory focused on process innovation, scale and vertical integration. Once completed, it will be Europe’s largest battery cell factory and produce 32 GWh worth of capacity annually.
