For social robots, the time is now: they are no longer 'science fiction'. Humans are entering a new era where talking to machines, and interacting with them in our most natural ways (as if they were a person) is becoming 'normal'. But it's still early days in this revolution. The rules are still being written, and the road ahead is wide open. Furhat Robotics has established itself as a global leader in telling the story of social robotics, and this is where you come in.
We are now looking for a Software Architect to join our Platform team. You will work alongside our experienced team and colleagues from our offices in Stockholm and Boulder, Colorado. In your role, you will both be focusing on the continuous improvements of the Furhat and Misty robots, and also be involved in exciting projects with some of our major clients.
As a Software Architect at Furhat Robotics, you will:

be responsible for supporting the development of a cutting edge social robotics platform written in Java, Kotlin and C++

guide the technical implementation of new features based on your understanding of the state-of-the-art

be hands-on and work alongside the rest of the engineering team when needed
Skills & Requirements
To be an ideal candidate, you must:

have experience working as a software architect in a commercial setting
-
be proficient at Java and Kotlin (with their associated toolchains)

be proficient in cloud technologies for databases, storage and deployment of software products
-
be interested in new technologies (both software and hardware)
-
be comfortable working in English
It would be great if you also have:

Experience with C++ and JavaScript

Previous experience working with startups

Experience working with robots or conversational systems
