We are looking for a driven Global QMS Manager to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is part of our Northvolt Systems Quality team based in Stockholm, Sweden. By joining us, you will be a key player in establishing and implementing our quality management system and contribute to building one of the first large scale European battery factories.

About the job

The QMS Manager will take responsibility for defining and implementing Northvolt Systems’ quality management system, meeting and exceeding the Customers’ quality requirements and ensuring compliance with relevant quality standards.

In addition, this role will support the organization with the development and improvement of processes and procedures to ensure quality throughout all aspects of our business.

About the team

As QMS Manager, you would be part of Northvolt Systems’ quality management team, with broad collaboration with other business functions within the company. This role reports to the Director of Quality-Northvolt Systems and collaborates closely with product quality, supplier quality and manufacturing quality managers.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead, drive and ensure successful implementation and continued certification of ISO9001 and IATF16949 or other relevant standards.
  • Manage Northvolt Systems’ quality management system including driving continuous improvement and the integration with other management systems such as ISO14001 and ISO45001
  • Carry out Quality audits as required to ensure procedural compliance and continuously improve Quality performance
  • Ensure the organization deploys effective KPI’s and objectives and that performance is systematically evaluated and analyzed
  • Provide leadership and technical expertise within Quality Management

Skills & Requirements

We believe that you have:

  • Fluent English with strong communication skills
  • MSc in e.g. Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical engineering
  • Minimum 5-7 years of Quality Management Systems experience
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and Six-Sigma (green or black belt), and core quality tools
  • Relevant certifications, education, or experience with IATF16949, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 standards
  • Experience in implementing quality management systems and standards in a multi-site organization

Bonus points for:

  • Experience in Project Management, Presentation & Moderation
  • Fluency in other languages
  • Experience from a multi-cultural environment
