Job Description
We are looking for a driven Process Engineer to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our bold Mechanical Recycling team based in Västerås. By joining us, you will be a key player in ramping up our battery recycling operations and contribute to building the first large scale European battery recycling facilities.
About the job
You will play an important role in process development by collaborating with outside vendors and internal team members. As a Process Engineer in Mechanical Recycling, you will have knowledge in process and equipment design, equipment handling, and operations. You will work towards the optimization of the process steps with respect to product quality and output. You will evaluate and test appropriate process changes through the planning and execution of research and experiments.
About the team
You will join a small, energetic team who is focused on getting things done. The team's goal is to examine, test, and ultimately install the mechanical recycling processes needed for lithium batteries. The processes will deal with the recycling of production scrap, completed battery cells, and end of life packs. We are seeking a team player who is curious and eager to learn.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Design and run experiments, analyze data, and improve the Revolt Recycling processes.
- Support development projects related to basic engineering and process design for new recycling facilities.
- Implementing changes in operational procedures for Continuous Improvement of the process on both pilot and production scale.

Skills & Requirements
We believe that you have :
- Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Material Science or other relevant university degree
- 4+ years working experience in manufacturing / industrial environment
- Laboratory and analytical skills including design of experiments, data analysis, and interpretation
- Excellent English written and oral skills
- Track record of successful process development and implementation
Bonus points for:
- Experience in working on lab and pilot plant scales or other R&D facilities is a plus
- Passion and interest in the recycling industry
- Participation in a multi-cultural environment
