Northvolt has an exciting job opportunity to join our Recycling Purchasing team in Stockholm / Västerås / Skellefteå.

Sustainability is our mission: we are establishing a robust ecosystem for battery recycling in order to close the loop for Lithium-ion batteries- this is Revolt.

We plan to significantly grow in the next few years while we establish a complete ecosystem for battery recycling in Europe and this will require a strong focus on procurement of equipment, materials and services.

Today we have a recycling pilot plant in Västerås to demonstrate our process solution, we are starting a recycling hub in Norway and building a full-scale recycling plant in Skellefteå to secure a goal of 50% recycled material in new cells Northvolt will produce by 2030.

In this role you will be involved in sourcing and project execution activities for key equipment, contracted services and other strategic procurement categories in the recycling process, building a close cooperation with suppliers and ensuring a strong supplier base to sustain Revolt growth in Europe.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Involvement in CAPEX (equipment and contracted services) purchasing projects for our recycling plants
  • Support strategic sourcing process, including launch of RFI/RFQs, bids analysis and evaluation, preparation for negotiations, business award and contractual set-up
  • Maintain contracts, including valid bonds and insurances, managing claims, contract extensions, terminations, change orders or other amendments
  • Support the project execution after business award, managing contractual compliance and supplier performance, including expediting deliveries, KPI follow up, spend management, claims, etc.
  • Have close relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure purchasing support during the project execution

Specific Skills/Abilities

  • A degree in Engineering/Economics/Business, with technical focus
  • 2-3 years of experience in Supply Chain Management/ Procurement/ Project and Contract Management, preferably in B2B industries and project business
  • Aware of Procurement process and Basic Project Management fundamentals and able to identify and drive process improvements and efficiency.
  • Good team player and problem-solver, able to influence and convince other team members and project stakeholders
  • Excellent English written and oral skills, Swedish is a plus
  • Highly organized and result-driven
  • Ability to work under high pressure and tight deadlines, excellent time management
