We are looking for a driven Maintenance technician to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our Northvolt Systems Manufacturing team based in Stockholm, Sweden. By joining us, you will be a key player in building, adjusting and maintaining rapid prototyping capabilities that are crucial for bringing exciting new products to the market.

About the job
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for executing electrical and mechanical maintenance activities with our prototype equipment within the Northvolt Solna facility. Our prototype equipment consists of manual, semi-automatic and automatic stations (including robotic, dispensing, welding, vision systems, and testing stations) and is dynamically adopted to our requirements. You will also play a crucial role in continuously improving our existing equipment and building new equipment in house. Together with the team you will establish Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and quick corrective maintenance processes to ensure our rapid prototyping capabilities at all times. Aligning those activities with our 5S practices will create the prototyping environment needed for our high paced development processes.

About the team
Our prototyping activities are located in Solna in walking distance to our Stockholm headquarter. You will be part of a fast paced team that ensures high quality and rapid prototyping capabilities at all times. By this we will enable a short looped product and process development cycle and cut the time to market significantly. The team includes specialist from equipment building to maintenance to prototype fabrication enabling us to realise a quick response to changing needs.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Execute corrective electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic maintenance for our equipment to keep our equipment available at all times
  • Define and execute preventive maintenance
  • Improve the existing and build new equipment
  • Define critical spare parts and implement efficient spare part management

Skills & Requirements

We believe that you have :

  • Mechanical/electrical engineering degree or equivalent working experience
  • 3+ years of experience in executing maintenance in relevant environments (robotics, semi-automated equipment)
  • Experience in establishing TPM
  • Experience in 5S and HSE
  • Strong technical trouble-shooting
  • Fluent in English
