Key responsibilities

  • Evaluating technologies and build technology road maps with focus on R&D within various forms of cell design.

  • Setting up and executing the long-term R&D plans reporting to the CTO.

  • R&D strategy planning, budgeting, and executing according to the company objectives.

  • Personally invest in creating an inclusive, collaborative working environment with teammates from all over the globe. Help onboard new teammates with clear communication, shared goals, and mutual trust.

Your experience

In general, you have extensive experience in the R&D field and have been driving large, innovative and challenging high-tech projects. Specifically, you have a deep understanding of working with R&D within the battery industry.

  • A relevant university degree in chemistry, electrochemistry, materials science, or chemical engineering is required.
  • 10+ years of R&D experience within the battery industry preferably from a private company.
  • Has participated in large-scale R&D projects involving technical depth across multiple disciplines.

  • Excellent English written and oral skills. Swedish is a plus.
  • Eager to learn and understand our large-scale production processes.
  • Highly organized and results driven. Proactive in solving problems and anticipating setbacks.
  • A “can do” attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit to day-to-day work.
  • Open to travel.
  • Qualities that we cherish are flexibility, sense of quality, friendliness, motivation to take on new challenges, grit, and a sense of humor.
