DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities:

• OS patching & application patching, security vulnerabilities mitigation

• Assists in production support, troubleshoot existing systems to identify errors or deficiencies

• Understand and assist in tracking and monitoring the services/applications, in order to implement new alerts and by using the monitoring tool to constantly improve the resilience/reliability of systems/applications

• Manage capacity of storage, memory, CPU, bandwidth

• Execute performance tests, Investigate performance issues

• Tune application & software infrastructure

• Backup & recover setup settings, schedule and manage backups, perform and document DR actions

• Deploy application functionality in Acceptance and Production

• Understand the need for security and apply it using the existing security framework.

• Perform simple queries on existing data models and follow the basic operating procedures of a database

• Focus on CMDB compliance to ensure minimum information is accurate and up-to-date

• Document standard procedures, findings from troubleshooting sessions and operational guidelines

• Working in an Agile environment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science, or equivalent industry experience

• Experience with shell scripting and administering Linux systems

• SQL knowledge

• Organized person, focused, able to work under pressure responding to critical incidents calmly, but effectively and capable to meet certain deadlines

• Good organizational skills and commitment

Nice to have :

• Experience with DataStage or other component from InfoSphere Information Server suite

• Experience with CI/ CD tools is a plus

• Understanding of Agile / DevOps methodology is considered a plus

• General experience as a application administrator / devops is a plus.
