As an Agile Coach you will be working with 1-2 development teams in our Social division to define and recommend practices to maximize throughput and value delivered to our customers.

Your responsibilities

  • Have a deep and increasing knowledge of the following and be able to apply them situationally:
    • Agile and Lean principles and practices
    • team development, dynamics and behaviors
    • coaching, mentoring, teaching and facilitation of individuals and teams
  • Is able to assess maturity of teams and coach them to higher levels of maturity.

  • Focus on driving maximum value from everything through:

    • Facilitation, helping the team get to the best outcomes
    • Challenging the status quo when needed
    • Sharing information, collaborating, and engaging in crucial conversations
    • Encouraging experimentation and innovation with care and thought
    • Escalate and remove any and all impediments.
    • Communicate and work well with all levels of the organization.
    • Commitment to excellence and mastery: We want to keep getting better together!

Skills & Requirements

  • You have experience and demonstrable success as an Agile Coach or Scrum Master with Engineering teams.
  • Skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational leadership, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
  • Knowledge of patterns and techniques for facilitation, handling retrospectives, defect triaging, etc
  • Track record of continued and recent education in Agile methodologies, including training, conferences, user groups, self study, etc.
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills

Additional preferred skills

  • Knowledge of other approaches discussed in the Agile space: XP, Kanban, etc
  • Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing
  • Applicable knowledge of the technologies used by the team
