We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Sr. Quality Control Engineer to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our excellentQuality Control team based in Skellefteå. By joining us, you will be a key player in establishing quality analytical methods and contribute to building one of the first large scale European battery factories.

About the job
In your role, you will be developing, defining, implementing, and improving the inspection methods for evaluating the incoming materials, intermediate and final products for Production. Every day will be a new challenge and opportunity to make things better for Quality Control team by dealing with concurrent projects and activities. High level of self-discipline and accountability is required for this role. You will have the opportunity to drive high-level implementation and improvement projects within Quality Control and Inspection Task centers. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Designing, Driving and Evaluating all required MSA (Measurement System Analysis) activities together with potential RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and Problem Solving processes.
  • Searching, Designing, Testing and Implementing new inspection technologies and methods (Destructive and Non-Destructive)
  • Setting methods and parameters for advanced inspection & measurement systems (Computed Tomography, CMM, CNC Vision Measurement Systems etc.) and precision measurement tools.
  • Providing technical supervision and support to all Quality, Automation and Manufacturing Functions in scope of destructive and non-destructive testing
  • Implementing lean and six-sigma practices to improve, optimize and standardize Quality Control task center performances.

Skills & Requirements

We believe that you have :

  • MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics or Materials Engineering
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant work experience in Production or R&D Environment
  • Experience from automotive business or as a supplier to automotive business is an advantage together with experience of SC CC for components and what it means for quality controls and PPAP.
  • Experience in NDT methods (Preferably at X-ray, Computed Tomography), Optical & Laser Vision Systems, CMM and Precision Measurement Devices
  • Experience in automation is a plus
  • Specific knowledge of quality management systems, e.g. ISO 9001, IATF16949, TQM
  • Experience in developing analytical methods, standards, procedures and documentation in an efficient way.
  • Project management skills and a successful track record of leading quality projects in a laboratory environment
  • Knowledgeable in Lean and Six Sigma
  • Knowledge and Experience in MSA Studies
  • Strong Statistical Analysis Background
  • Familiar with SPC, FMEA, Quality troubleshooting tools and problem-solving methodologies (e.g. 8D).
  • Excellent English written and oral skills
