Working pattern: Flexible remote working up to three days per week

Department: Adult and Children’s Trade Publishing

Start Date: immediate

Salary range: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum

General Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter to join Bonnier Books UK and help support our audience and business development initiatives, including building new direct-to-consumer channels and platforms, and delivering content to drive customer acquisition and engagement.

This is a unique role and great opportunity to work across the business, drive innovation and deliver on exciting new projects. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate their appetite for innovation and experimentation, creative skills, as well as their ability to use data and insights to drive decisions. They will be very familiar with all social platforms, have some knowledge of performance marketing, and experience with driving audience growth and engagement across a variety of online channels. They will have impeccable organisation skills and show an ability to effectively manage projects.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work directly with the director of audience and business development to launch new digital channels and products.
  • Deliver content strategies and plans for direct-to-consumer channels and platforms, capable of driving customer acquisition and engagement, including but not limited to social media.
  • Help evolve our social media strategy across the business, and support with new channel launches.
  • Work closely with our audience development lead on the company’s website development initiatives, to pair product development with content strategy and planning.
  • Work with the publicity and marketing teams to develop channels and offers to reach new readers, media and business partners.

Skills & Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  • Impeccable communication skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively with internal stakeholders, cross functionally and at all levels.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with an ability to prioritise a busy workload and multiple projects.
  • Experience setting and reporting on KPIs, and using data to inform decisions.
  • Experience in audience development and developing long-term content plans to drive engagement, grow social channels and online communities
  • Experience with project management preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Publishing experience not required.
