As our next Senior Product Manager you will have a key role in this work and be part of the Product Management team to develop, maintain and deliver the different business area strategies, against financial targets and KPIs to support the brand plan and our ambitions. Working daily with our design, development, material and marketing teams, you will lead all facets of the apparel product creation process and be in charge of creating highly technical and compelling product collections that address true consumer needs. The team you will be part of is at the heart of our company and the lead interface and business owner in between product department and commercial teams.

In our consumer centric organization this role is also responsible for ensuring focus segments are aligned with range hierarchy and product propositions.

The major accountabilities of this role include the following:

  • Understand the business, the consumers and the competition and stay up to date with the latest market innovations
  • Create and execute range plan to ensure a progressive, competitive and innovative collection is created through strong collaboration with relevant stakeholders
  • Propose and brief seasonal assortment plan with clearly defined product positioning, revenue target, cost targets and margin goals for each category to align with division strategy and company strategies
  • Work in collaboration with Developers, Material Technologists, Patternmakers and Design department to ensure functionality of products
  • Ensure the development and creation of a commercially strong collection
  • Guarantee that all new developments will deliver highest possible functionality, performance and quality and meets up to the Haglöfs Product Core Values
  • Be an important stakeholder in the Product Development process to be the spokesperson for the end users’ functional needs
  • Work with Marketing to represent product for key concepts, styles and product details to provide product marketing information ensuring the product is represented correctly.
  • Owning product forecast (FC0) and product margin (GM0%) and responsible for achievement of profitable growth
  • Present product ranges at seasonal sales meetings, participate in trade fairs and participate in the new product launches to sales and customers
  • Responsible for product management related master data in PLM system and for writing marketing texts for digital workbook, e-com and sell-in tools

Skills & Requirements

To be successful in this role we believe you have:

  • At least 5 years of product management experience in the outdoor apparel industry
  • Up-to-date knowledge/understanding of the retail landscape for outdoor/sports
  • Excellent understanding of commercial range planning, pricing and margins
  • Good communication skills and well-developed English, both written and spoken
  • Advanced to intermediate user of all standard Microsoft Office application
  • Competent user of PLM system and analytics
  • Have experience of working with consumer segmentation and insight
