Construction Category Purchasing Specialist

Northvolt has an exciting job offer in Construction Purchasing to join our passionate team in Stockholm. We are responsible for the procurement of the construction materials and services and relevant sub-categories across all entities for Northvolt. Our goal is to enable long-term partnerships with suppliers that will support Northvolt on its path towards >150 GWh of installed production capacity by 2030.
Profile:
In your previous professional work, you have collected experience in sourcing tasks preferably in the Construction function including running tenders, tender evaluations, and presenting to the senior management. You have worked in a multi-cultural environment with suppliers and colleagues from all over the world.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop the overall category strategy across all programs and locations for Northvolt
- Research and analyze data and market insights as well as the supplier trends for the Northvolt long term needs
- Challenge, improve or develop a long-term vision of the supplier portfolio strategy
- Lead commercial negotiations with the related suppliers together with the program purchasing team
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including pre-qualification, inquiry, analysis, selection, and contract preparation

Category Purchasing Specialist - CSA
- Experience in Category Management and a track record of delivering high value and high risk/complex procurement projects within tight timescales
- Experience in the sourcing of Groundworks, Foundations, and Structural Elements. Sourcing Civil projects in Sweden is a bonus
- Experience in the sourcing of Architectural details including building fit-out and other architectural detail
- Experience in securing bulk materials to aid all projects and enable the early start of projects
Category Purchasing Specialist - MEP
- Experience in Category Management in industrial environments and a track record of delivering complex projects
- Has experience sourcing for Mechanical, Electrical or Piping works Experience in the sourcing of Mechanical, Electrical, and Piping works which also includes the procurement of HVAC, Sprinklers and Control Systems
- Experience in the procurement of Mechanical and Electrical equipment and in the securing of Long Lead Items according to the project/business schedule
- Experience in securing bulk materials to aid all projects within the Northvolt portfolio

We believe that you have:
- A degree in Engineering, MSc or MBA/Relevant University Degree
- Excellent in communication in English, written and spoken
- Experience from working with procurement of services and contractors
- Track record of successful project achievements
- Experience from working with procurement in construction field or disciplines indirect to construction
