Northvolt has an exciting job offer for an MES Manufacturing Engineer to join our bold Battery Systems team in Stockholm.

The MES Manufacturing Engineer will be a veteran Manufacturing Engineer with experience in prototyping and volume manufacturing. The candidate should have experience in the operation and support of one or more of the following manufacturing systems: Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)/Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Product LifeCycle Management (PLM). An ideal candidate would have experience in deployment of one or more of these systems.
You will play an important role to help define, deploy and support the MES to Northvolt manufacturing sites assembling battery modules and packs. You will be collaborating with the stakeholders and systems connected to the MES including (amongst others): factory logistics, warehousing, ASRS, AGV/AIV, assembly line equipment and operators, IT and digitization.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate and represent the needs of the Manufacturing team to support the MES Digitization team in specifying, selecting and deploying the Northvolt Systems MES to our manufacturing sites in Sweden and Poland (to start with):
- Cooperate with the Process team to identify the data collection and statistical process control (SPC) requirements
- Cooperate with the Equipment team to identify machinery data input and output requirements (instrument, sensors, actuators, conveyors, etc.)
- Cooperate with the Factory team to identify the ASRS, AGV/AIV, site data input and output requirements

Skills & Requirements
We believe that you have :
- BSc or MSc degree in Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant work experience within manufacturing engineering
- Familiar with DOE and SPC (e.g. Minitab)
- Experience with evolving products, processes, and equipment from prototype scales to production scale in a fast-growing environment
Special consideration given for experience(s) in:
- Factory automation including PLCs, robots, AGVs, MES
- SQL, Oracle databases
- Programming languages and scripting e.g. C/C++, C#, Python, VBA
- Battery manufacturing and testing systems
