Stress Engineer (f/m/d)

We’re looking for a Stress Engineer to employ in Munich area within our global business unit Smart Engineering. In this role you will build with us the added value we’re proud to offer to our clients. You will need an ability to work to short deadlines and adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
What you’ll do:
- Calculations of lightweight structures for the purpose of proof of strength and provide design solutions, especially primary structures in aircraft and helicopter construction
- Performing sizing, optimization and substantiation analysis of aircraft and helicopter components
- Application of analytical calculation methods and the finite element method
- Calculation of metallic components and fiber composite components
- Definition and analysis of metallic and composite joints
- Calculation regarding static strength, stability and non-linearities by finite element analytical methods (SOL101, SOL103 and SOL105 and SOL106).
- Creation and review of technical reports for static verification
- Evaluation of calculation processes and methods as well as suggestions for improvement
- Automation of calculation processes (design and verification of execution)
- Direct exchange with the design department
Fähigkeiten und Anforderungen
What you’ll bring:
- +5 Years of working experience in relevant industry (aerospace)
- Very good knowledge of technical mechanics, material science and lightweight construction, with a focus on linear-static, normal modes and buckling analysis (SOL101, SOL103 and SOL105)
- Good knowledge of aircraft primary structure design concepts
- Good knowledge of composite design and analysis.
- Good knowledge of the finite element method including Hyperworks and NASTRAN software tools
- Programming knowledge is an advantage (python, VBA, TCL)
- Diligence and quality awareness
- Proactivity and transparency
- Analytical / abstract thinking, systematic working methods and process orientation
- Business fluent in English skills is required
- Resilience, assertiveness and negotiation skills
- Punctual willingness to travel
- NATO nationalities only
