General Ledger Accountant

In this role you will be responsible for assuring timely and accurate performance of general ledger accounting tasks, including daily maintenance of accounts, payroll inputs and accounting, VAT reporting and other statutory reporting requirements.
Responsibilities:

General ledger accounting including accruals, prepayments, B/S and P&L posting

Performing period-end activities related to general ledger area

Preparation and reconciliation of accounts, follow-up on open items

Local reporting: VAT, Intrastat, statistics based on internal instructions and guidelines

Fixed Assets accounting, retail accounting, intercompany balances reconciliations

Payroll inputs and accounting

Building and maintaining strong relationships and cooperation with local business controllers and other FSS departments

Participation in process improvements

Preparation of ad hoc reports and analysis

Prepare documentation for audit and close cooperation with external auditors

Prepare local financial statements based on pre-agreed templates

Supporting other team members in daily operations, sharing knowledge across the FSS

Skills & Requirements
- University Degree in Finance / Accounting
- English advanced working proficiency
- Other languages: Danish, German, French, Swedish would be an advantage
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Problem solving attitude
- Previous experience in multinational environments would be an asset
- Knowledge of SAP or other major ERP would be an asset
- Good knowledge in Excel and other MS Office applications
- Take ownership of duties, but also team working
- Proactive and open attitude
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
