Job Description

DigiExam is revolutionizing the way educators create, deliver and grade academic tests, providing educators and schools with secure digital testing and exam solutions that replace traditional pen and paper testing. We’re looking to recruit a Sales Development Executive to our team in New York. Your job will be to introduce new clients (schools and universities) to Digiexam and demonstrate how we can help them achieve their goals. Together with the Sales Director and rest of the sales team, you will build out a target list of clients who you’ll be responsible to contact via phone or email with the aim of booking introductory meetings. You will be fully fluent in our product and be able to pitch and do the initial sell in order to get a meeting in the calendar.

Our sales team is reliant on a qualified, reliable and trustworthy pipeline of opportunities and you are responsible for ensuring this and organise meetings with worthwhile prospective clients. As a Sales Development Executive for Digiexam you’re the first voice of our brand and you will need to demonstrate great customer relationships skills to make sure our growing business is always viewed in a positive light. You will also need to be a great listener as the market can provide you with valuable feedback that will be important not only for the sales teams but also for our product and tech teams. You’ll be a key member of a small team and there is a huge opportunity to shape and grow the role accordingly.

Responsibilities

  • Build a pipeline of sales leads by contacting prospects through a variety of activities such as cold-calling, networking, emailing

  • Research and map the market for potential clients

  • Demonstrate product knowledge and ability to articulate DigiExam’s USPs to a variety of decision-makers

  • Hitting targets on a weekly and monthly basis

  • Qualify all leads (incoming and self-generated) based on company criteria

  • Close smaller deals with the view to continue to develop

  • Provide weekly reports to Sales Director and others as and when necessary

  • Update pipeline docs and CRM

  • Fulfill team support roles as required

  • Communicate & coordinate effectively as required with other members of the team

Skills & Requirements

Qualifications

  • BA or equivalent in a relevant field

  • Strong communication skills (speaking, writing, listening, cold-calling)

  • Ability to quickly understand technology and promote solutions

  • Ability to work independently in an entrepreneurial, start-up environment

  • Strong understanding of email tools and social media such as LinkedIn etc

  • Similar experience in customer service, sales and/or telemarketing would be interesting

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to work well with both external and internal customers

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills

  • Highly flexible and adaptable to change

  • Proficiency in MAC and Microsoft Office applications
