The European battery industry is on the rise and Norway is one of the key markets with its world leading share of electric vehicles. In 2022 Hydrovolt open the first recycling facility in Europe which will raise the bar and change the battery recycling industry forever. As Key Account Manager you will develop and maintain our high service to our partners and customers. You will have an important role in the development of the company and be given the opportunity to join a start-up team in one of the most exciting and fast growing industries today.

In this role at Hydrovolt you will be an important part of a very dynamic and competitive market. The recycling industry of lithium-ion batteries is going through change in many domains and it will be amongst your challenges to find the best road map and solutions therein for your customers.

We are looking for a driven Key Account Manager to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our team based in Fredrikstad, Norway. By joining us, you will be a key player building our supply chain and develop the battery recycling industry.

Skills & Requirements

We believe that you have :

  • A relevant university degree in Bc/MSc.
  • To succeed in this role, we think that you have worked in a similar role for a minimum of 5 years.
  • You work independently and are structured and organized. If you see opportunities for change, you take the initiative and push for them.
  • You are convincing in your communication and you have an aspiration for building good relationships with customers, both internal and external, at all levels.
  • Can speak and write English and Norwegian fluently.

Bonus Points For:

  • Fluency in other languages, specifically, German.
  • Experience from a multi-cultural environment.

About the company

The world needs clean batteries and we need a plan for what to do with them end-of life. We need to recover the materials and use them in new batteries or other products – and not produce waste.

The Swedish battery making company Northvolt, and the energy and aluminium company Hydro from Norway have now come together to create the joint venture Hydrovolt, which is building Europe’s largest electric car battery recycling facility in Fredrikstad, Norway. The battery recycling plant is situated just next to and will work hand in glove with Batteriretur, the company that collects used batteries in Norway.
