What’s the job?

Are you curious, rebellious, and passionate about making an impact? We are looking for new team members for our Helsinki studio.

Our Growth Strategy team in Helsinki is looking for an Engagement Manager ; an innovator with a proven ability to think commercially, strategically and creatively, and has experience leading, defining and implementing innovation strategies for Fortune 500 companies across a range of industries.

As an Engagement Manager in our strategy team, you are expected to:

  • Develop and articulate robust innovation strategies for a diverse range of clients

  • Develop a rapid understanding of commercial and operational context for each project

  • Business development. Build and maintain solid client relationships together with your senior colleagues and develop competitive value propositions resulting in a strong pipeline of sales

  • Understand and develop business model propositions

  • Run innovation consulting projects from initial brief through to final deliverable

  • Manage and inspire cross-functional teams - both internally and externally

  • Help shape the development of products and businesses

  • Present key deliverables to senior executives in our client organizations

You will have daily contact with executives at Fortune 500 companies, and as a result you need to be exceptionally capable at rapid problem solving as well as nurturing relationships with client partners. You will lead cross-functional project teams within frog Growth Strategy, working closely with Innovation Consultants in our Idea Development team across all engagements.

What we’re looking for

You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the field of innovation or growth strategy - this experience may come through work in strategy consulting, private equity, venture capital, investment banking, or within a corporate innovation team.

You have significant experience leading a cross-functional team and managing senior client relationships, and you display, and be able to demonstrate, the following characteristics:

  • Restless curiosity . You’re resourceful in scouring the world for insight, comfortable in a highly charged idea-centric environment, fascinated with changing the world, able to move seamlessly from high altitude thinking to the tangible and practical
  • Creative Problem Solving. A lateral thinker adept at uncovering the themes and critical pieces of information that can spark game-changing innovations, with an intuitive ability for identify gaps in markets and develop new markets in those gaps

  • Creative Sensibilities. A well-honed aesthetic appreciation, and experience generating results with creative teams across a range of disciplines.

  • Diverse Experience. frog Growth Strategy does not specialize in any particular industry or category, and as such you should be able to demonstrate diverse category experience.

  • Strong Opinions. Defend your opinions and perspectives and be able to support them with lateral and insightful commercial and strategic rationale.

  • Inspiring Leadership Style. You’re an influential role model with a proven ability to inspire internal teams and clients to push the boundaries of what they thought was possible.

  • Contagious Positive Passion. Get excited by big transformational ideas and be able to infectiously stoke the fires of those around you.

  • World-Class Presentation Skills. Demonstrate the ability to construct and deliver inspiring and convincing arguments verbally as well as on paper.

Additionally, you have:

  • A Master’s degree in a relevant field
  • Fluent English and Finnish
  • Readiness to travel (occasionally)
