About the job

Futucare is Futurice’s model for ensuring continuity, support and small feature development of in-production systems. It offers a 360 view to projects, technologies and architectural solutions developed by Futurice’s highly skilled teams in recent years.

We have a team of over 20 persons and we work in smaller teams of 3-5 persons. Currently the Futucare team operates from Tampere but in the future there may also be other sites and remote team members involved. Futurice’s awesome and skilled community together with the Futucare team having one of the highest engagement scores at Futurice is surely something you don’t want to miss.

What to expect if you hop on?

As a Futucare Service Lead, your role consists of leading a team and its service portfolio, acting as a service facilitator towards clients and maintaining strong client relationships. Typical team consists of Service Lead, 3-5 developers and they handle 3-5 maintenance projects. Together with your team you also identify and plan additional development packages and contribute to Futucare’s common ways of working and development.

Service Lead takes care of things like staffing, contracts and invoicing. You will also make sure our service quality and customer satisfaction are flourishing.

Depending on your background and desires, you may also participate in hands-on technical development activities together with your team.

Occasionally, you may also participate in new customer sales or work as a consultant in customer projects to later onboard them seamlessly to Futucare.

Here are some practical things that would definitely help in this job

  • You have prior experience about application life-cycle management.

  • You have a strong desire to take a key role in the client interface, facilitate our services and build long-lasting client relationships.

  • Understanding what it takes to develop and operate modern web/cloud-based in-production systems is a key success factor.

  • You have experience / understanding of ITIL.

  • You have good team leading and prioritization skills.

  • You dearly cherish good communication both with the team and the client. Usually we look for people with fluent English, but this time fluent Finnish is something we value.

  • You’re a damn nice person to work with. It's crucial that your mindset is a match with Futurice family's proactive and get-things-done attitude.
