ABOUT THE TEAM

We are User Home. As a part of Schibsted Account, we are responsible for the largest identity solution in Scandinavia with over 17 million users in Norway, Sweden, and Finland:

• We develop and maintain a business-critical, centralised user login and profile experience - used across over 60 well-known digital consumer brands such as VG, Aftenposten, Finn, Blocket, Aftonbladet, Svenska Dagbladet, and Omni.
• Our team consists of a dedicated Product Manager, UX Designer, and 5-6 developers located in Norway, Sweden, and Poland.
• We have a high level of autonomy in choosing technical solutions for our product and in shaping our ways of working.
• We embrace Scrum rules, work in 2-week sprints and use Jira for planning.
• We allow for flexible working hours and every other Friday is dedicated to personal development - you can focus on side projects and learning technologies of your choice.
• While we encourage a hybrid work model, 100% remote work is also possible for this position!

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will work for the most important product in Schibsted, an end-user destination to self-manage their account. Our product’s technological stack is modern and diverse:

• Frontend: React , TypeScript , Styled Components, Storybook, Jest, Loki
• Backend: NodeJS , Express, TypeScript, Redis, Jest
• We use Git , Travis & Spinnaker for version control and CI/CD, and deploy to Amazon EKS.

ABOUT YOU:

• You are experienced in working with JavaScript (React, NodeJS, Typescript), HTML5, CSS3, RESTful APIs.
• You have a good understanding of web performance , scalability, caching, cross-browser compatibility issues and implementation constraints.
• You have a good understanding of the concepts of and/or experience with continuous deployment, integration and unit tests , documentation, GitHub and Scrum.
• You display a high level of autonomy, are able to suggest and provide arguments for technical ideas and solutions.
• You are open to driving ideas from discussion to implementation, supporting team members with your technical expertise.
• You are able and willing to communicate well enough in English to work in a distributed team.
