As the Manager, B2B Digital Media Planner you will manage the central planning, buying & execution of all external digital media for demand generation activities. You will have digital channel responsibility including, affiliate display, retargeting, programmatic and paid social, as well as being responsible for overall channel performance and optimization. You will be the relationship owner for digital media partners – working closely to pace budgets, enhance performance and drive joined-up reporting. Keep up to date & share developments in the digital/social media landscape including insights on channel performance for forthcoming campaign channel planning.
The role sits within the Global Demand Generation team and reports to the Director, Global Demand Generation. You will play a key role in ensuring the Global DG team is fully supported with optimized external media channels to help maximize the results from their global campaigns (Leads & MQL’s). You will also partner with Proposition Marketing, Brand and Market Activation, and Data & Ops teams. The key part of the role will be to develop, measure, and optimize channel performance to ensure that any external activities are in line with internal measurement frameworks. Relentless focus on delivering action from recipients and continued engagement.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Ensure all digital media partners and activities are insight-driven, audience-led, aligned to our ICP, and supportive of our global strategy and growth objectives
Ensure that all media activities reflect the wider cross-functional program approach for demand generation to create and echo a unified approach to our growth efforts
Be a trusted partner and work closely with the data & ops team to ensure that external channel performance and practice is aligned to internal working principles and develop knowledge and reporting between channel and basware.com journeys
Support annual and quarterly planning to ensure your activities use an optimal channel mix, have clear deliverables, drive maximum ROI and ultimately create required results
Play a role in developing a common set of KPIs inc. defining conversion and metrics for media channels ready to share with wider marketing org for integration
Create a testing framework, and identify and test new channels and tactics, working closely with wider DG team and Data Ops to measure and optimize results
Manage and own relationships with all media partners ensuring that we are benefiting from scale, media relations and specialist knowledge at all times.
Continued eyes on budget pacing.
Manage QBR of external agency performance to ensure that reporting, budget pacing and data management is on track and in line with growth expectations.
Skills & Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will have:
Experience in a B2B marketing role, with proven experience delivering revenue growth through demand generation marketing programs, in an international environment, across multiple markets.
Experience supporting global marketing cross-channel campaigns, through longstanding, continuously optimized, multi-channel programs
Digitally savvy, modern marketer with extensive knowledge of multi-channel programs and different mediums
Previous experience working with media agencies, or within a media agency
A thorough understanding of the details of execution, and the ability to take a campaign brief to create comprehensive execution of required media on-brief, on-time, and on-budget
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to influence and gain buy-in at senior levels and clearly articulate media strategy and how it relates back to business and marketing objectives
Skilled project manager, with the ability to be able to successfully manage multiple projects and campaign messaging streams
Data-oriented and analytical, always looking for insights and those incremental gains for compound impact, to drive and improve performance and a good understanding of funnel metrics, measurement, and campaign performance
Understands how to engage and work with sales and BDRs to ensure all inbound leads are followed up and meet required criteria
Ability to multitask and deliver in a fact-paced, modern marketing environment
