Planning and Logistics Developer - Automotive Projects

Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Planning and Logistics Developer to join our bold, excellent and passionate team in Stockholm.

In joining us you will play an important part from the very start, building large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play a significant role in the transformation to a carbon free society.

As Planning and Logistics Developer you would focus on supporting the process of designing, procuring and implementing the set-up of cell logistics from our giga-factory "Northvolt Ett" in Skellefteå. As a key player in the Planning and Logistics Team you will have the opportunity to build and procure sustainable logistical solutions from scratch, both for Northvolt’s operations in Sweden, as well as beyond. You will be based in Stockholm at Northvolt’s head office and report to Krzysztof Gilewski, Senior Manager Planning and Logistics.

In broad terms, Team Planning and Logistics is responsible for everything that moves. Our mission is to support Northvolt’s growth and expansion with logistical expertise and to create a robust logistical framework, within which Northvolt units can operate.

  1. are an experienced Planning and Logistics and/or Packaging professional,
  2. through whatever reason you have found yourself jobless at the moment,
  3. and would be keen to jump on an opportunity of a 5-6 month fixed term contract with Northvolt,

please let us know!

Because Northvolt keeps growing like crazy, chances are that beyond the fixed term, an opportunity for a permanent contract will open itself in Q3/Q4

Generally speaking, we believe that you already have a reasonable level of experience within logistics and transportation.

Ideally for a few years now, you have designed and developed logistical networks at an automotive OEM or at a Tier1 supplier and/or you have excellent understanding of high-level customers' requirements.

In your career you have been exposed to the execution and follow up of international shipping across different transport modes.

You are familiar with the administrative side of logistical process, documentation required to dispatch, clear customs, receive and store cargo.

You have supported or led logistics projects around warehouse sizing and/ or optimization. You can crunch data and have strong analytical skills.

Experience in shipping and handling of DG (dangerous goods) and familiarity with applicable laws and regulations within transportation and warehousing will be considered of advantage. Ideally you also have good understanding on how to use or even better set up, different systems and modules (ERP/WMS/TMS) to support logistical planning and execution.

When joining Northvolt, you would primarily be focused on establishing the framework for Northvolt Cell logistics. When it comes to cell logistics related questions, you would be the main interface for all our customers and internal stakeholders. It will be your responsibility that customer requirements are evaluated, negotiated, planned and translated into actions across wider Planning and Logistics Team and other Northvolt stakeholders.

We are looking for a great team player who wants to be a part of building a world class logistics department at Northvolt.

As Northvolt develops, so will you and your range of responsibilities.

About the company

Northvolt makes green batteries for a blue planet. Affordable cells and high-quality battery systems. All manufactured with a record-low carbon footprint. Purposely built to provide Europe with the opportunity to switch to renewable energy – efficiently and entirely.

To accomplish this, we do things differently. We design, manufacture, and recycle everything under one roof. We even build our own factories. All this is incredibly challenging and requires us to think in unconventional ways. We’re constantly experimenting, learning and adapting to make batteries so great – they will one day make oil history.

Northvolt is growing fast. We’re staffing our international office in Stockholm, our R&D facility, Northvolt Labs, in Västerås, as well as our Gdansk facility for production of battery systems. We're also hiring for our gigafactory Northvolt Ett in Skellefteå, Sweden. We want to work with smart individuals from all disciplines. Strong individuals that truly want to make a positive impact on the future. Those of us already on board share a passion for our mission. We’re prepared to work hard in pursuit of excellence. We enjoy the ride and our main drive is to make a difference for real. As a team, we’re dedicated to thinking new, working hard and having fun.
