The person we are looking for

This position will be crucial in improving Freevalve's supply chain (quality, cost, reliability of supply, lead time, inventory). An important responsibility will rest on the individual to identify, qualify, build and maintain a supplier base that shall meet Freevalve’s current and future supply chain requirements while supporting our business objectives. It will be no small feat to seek the best value in a company that demands nothing but the highest standards.


  • Sourcing of parts and services for production and development.
  • Optimize inventory and stock levels of purchased components, and track and maintain inventory and stock levels to meet current and future needs without compromising on time.
  • Capture/understand potential risks (quality, financial, property, geopolitical, etc.) along the whole Supply Chain cycle and prepare contingency plans.
  • Measure and manage the supplier and contract performance in all aspects, including supplier’s compliance to Freevalve requirements, in close collaboration with the in collaboration with the engineering, assembly and testing team.
  • Support commercial relationships (incl. contract terms & conditions and annual negotiations) when needed.
  • Support managers and team leaders and verify completion of tasks.

Skills & Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Open-minded self-starter with the ability to adapt, improvise and problem solve, as well as work independently on multiple tasks or projects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a high degree of resilience to deal with urgent requests, and minimal information. Work in close liaison with different stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail. Passion for results, strategy, and hands-on execution.
  • Strong written and verbal skills as well as organizational and project management capabilities.
  • Proficient in Excel, MS Project, Power Point, Word, ERP systems (Monitor or equivalent).
  • Ability to mitigate unforeseen problems creatively and effectively.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, suitable for both large groups and senior management.
  • Willingness to learn.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Documented competence within production economy and conduct fundamental cost calculations (should include cost analysis)
  • Education in engineering, management, or other relevant training in combination with at least 1-3 years’ experience in the field of Sourcing/Supply Chain Management.
  • Advanced language skills in Swedish and English, in both speech and writing.
