reMarkable is a Norwegian technology company that develops products and services to help people think better in a distracted world. Following the successful launch of our second-generation paper tablet, which has been named one of TIME's "100 Best Innovations of 2020", we’re facing new challenges and opportunities as we expand into the global arena. In a short amount of time, we’ve grown from a small startup to having over 200 permanent employees and two fantastic offices in central Oslo - and we keep growing!

We are now looking for a curious, quick learning and collaborative Finance Manager to join the reMarkable Finance team that can help us make sure we steer the company in the right direction. The position offers an excellent opportunity to learn more about the finance function in a hyper growth company with a global footprint, as well as develop yourself as a business partner and finance professional.

About the role

reMarkable is a company with high growth and great ambitions for the future. The role will be absolutely central in developing and professionalizing reMarkable's finance function and helping us succeed in our strategic goal of being a global technology company.

You will be part of a highly engaged and dedicated team responsible for the financial processes in reMarkable. The role as Finance Manager is essential to provide financial leadership in determining strategic business direction, financing, capital market and longer-term strategies vital to the future performance of the company.

As our Finance Manager you will support initiatives on financial planning related to new opportunities or changes to the business model as well as modeling complex scenarios and the effect on P&L and balance sheet items as input to our business planning cycles. You will also play a central role in enabling the company to reach our strategic goals by identifying and securing financing, for instance by treasury management and debt financing. Maintaining the good relationship with our financial partners, board and investors will also be a central part of the job, for instance by drafting monthly newsletters and creating quarterly reports. Occasionally, you will also be supporting fundraising initiatives through for example updating our equity story, ad hoc data requests/analysis, draft pitch decks and keeping our data room up to date.

Further tasks and responsibilities

  • Modeling complex scenarios and the effect on P&L and balance sheet items

  • Lead initiatives on financial planning related to specific areas and new opportunities, as well as identifying and establish improved routines within the field

  • Acquire superuser skills and help implement advanced planning module in ERP-system

  • Optimize financial instruments- and initiatives for current and future needs

  • Supporting the Investor Relation-function, e.g. drafting monthly newsletters, creating board reports, updating equity story and ad hoc data requests

Who are you?

You have a strong interest in finance and have a business driven and analytical mindset. You are self-going and proactive, and able to keep a good overview of the business and transfer this insight into financial forecasts, presentations, recommendations and decisions. You like to work in cross-functional teams, but at the same time want to belong to a department where professional expertise is cultivated. You thrive on high pace, new challenges and responsibilities. You want to be part of our growth journey and contribute with your expertise to make this possible.

We also believe you are/have some of the following

  • 3-5 years experience from a top tier consulting firms, corporate finance or similar role in other companies
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to clearly understand how complex scenarios can be translated into predictive models using tools such as Excel and state of the art planning software
  • Self-going, result oriented and a team player
  • Proactive with strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills (e.g. presenting data in a visual and meaningful way to provide insight). English and also preferably Norwegian.
  • Master’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration or similar
  • Expert in Excel, PowerPoint, Think Cell and other relevant planning and analysis software
