We are looking for a dedicated Logistics Developer to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of passionate Planning & Logistics team based in Västerås. By joining us, you will be a key player in establishing and improving the logistic processes within Northvolt Västerås and contribute to building one of the first large scale European battery factories.

About the job

In the role as logistics developer you will take the lead in setting up new routines and processes within the team for Planning & Logistics as well as developing existing routines. Your main task will be project oriented and you will both participate as lead your own projects. You will work with both external contacts as well as other Northvolt departments and the work will include both supporting physical material flows like warehousing and transport solutions as system improvements like ERP implementations.

About the team

The Planning and Logistics team is sitting in Västerås and you will work tight with your colleges within the department to support them in establishing and improving the processes. Due to the role you will be working from different locations within Västerås as well as other locations depending on the different projects but you will be based in Västerås.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and improve material flow

  • Work with ERP development and implementation

  • Support planning and warehouse operations

  • Be the voice of Planning & Logistics in development projects

Describe personal success factors:

We believe that you have a genuine interest in logistics flows and is eager to learn more. You will get the chance to work in a lot if different areas withing in the team so its important that you have the flexibility and curiosity to learn new things. At the same time you need to be structured and be able to work cross functionally with people from other disciplines as well as cultures. Experience from ERP implementations and building up material handling systems would be an advantage.

Skills & Requirements

We believe that you have:

  • A degree in Logistic or relevant working experience

  • 3+ years working experience in within Planning or Logistics

  • Excellent English written and oral skills

  • Experience of working with ERP systems

Bonus points for:

  • Experience and interest in manufacturing industry

  • Fluency in other languages (Japanese, Swedish, Chinese, French)

  • Experience from a multi-cultural environment
