Recently the news went public that Nordic Capital is a new investment partner in Sambla and Advisa. The joint company therefore forms one of the biggest actors in the loanbroaker market in the Nordics.

As a Data Engineer at Sambla Group you will join a highly skilled data team of 6 people all working towards the goal to extract and consolidate data, and provide tools and knowledge for the business to translate this data into actionable insights. You will work with modern cloud based technologies, such as GCP, BigQuery, dbt, Snowflake and Power BI. You will report to the Head of Data Engineering and BI, and work closely with all departments of the business.

Some of the responsibilities as Data Engineer includes:

  • Administer and orchestrate cloud data solutions (on GCP)

  • Build new data integrations and data pipelines (on GCP)

  • Develop and maintain Data Warehouse (BigQuery)

  • Perform all sorts of analyses using SQL (and/or other tools such as Power BI, Python, R etc.)

We are on the search for someone who is flexible and is motivated by working in a fast paced and dynamic environment. Someone who is truly passionate about tech and thrives working with logic and their analytical skills. What this position also requires:

  • At Least 4 years of higher education, preferably in software-/data engineering

  • Strong interest in developing data solutions

  • Programming skills (e.g. python, javascript etc.)

  • Experience and skills in SQL

  • Experience from DevOps and cloud technologies (e.g. Git, GCP/AWS/Azure, Airflow)

A bit of extra credit if you have:

  • Skills in Data Warehousing

  • Technical skills in BI-tools (such as Power BI/Qlik/Tableau/Looker)

  • Knowledge of advanced statistics and math
