Welcome to the Application to the Swedish Institute Management Programme (SIMP) 2022 for selected countries in Asia (India, China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand)

Please fill in the application form and submit it via the below fields and upload.

Please note that the application needs to be filled in one-go and there is no possibility to save any drafts. Before you start, ensure you have the following ready with you:

  1. CV (PDF)
  2. Passport size photo of yourself (JPEG)
  3. Nomination cover letter (PDF) from your business recommending you represent the business and can participate in the SIMP Asia - Optional at the application stage however, you will be required to submit the same upon selection

Please note the following definitions-

You are defined as Business for the purpose of application process if you are

  • CEO or top manager of a small or medium–sized enterprise, or
  • A manager of a significant and distinct department of a large enterprise, with its own profit responsibility.

Skills & Requirements

While the responsibility for implementing sustainable business practices lies on each business, the supporting environment also plays an important role. Participants of the SIMP programme will be selected from businesses that have a role in promoting and facilitating sustainable business practices. Through dialogue and partnerships between public and private sectors, sustainability solutions will be more effective.

Criteria that apply to all applicants :

  • You must be a citizen and resident of China, India, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand or Vietnam
  • Your business should be locally owned and based in one of the SIMP countries
  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset and a track record of making things happen
  • You are willing to support and share your experience and knowledge with other participants
  • You have a proficient command of written and spoken English
  • Age criteria: 25 to 50 years
  • You are a CEO, CXO or top manager of a small or medium–sized enterprise, or
  • A manager of a significant and distinct department of a large enterprise, with its own profit responsibility
  • You are highly motivated to run your business in a sustainable way, as well as to promote sustainable business practices in your country
  • You are willing and capable to drive the implementation of the sustainability strategy throughout the business
  • Good to have an experience working with policy and public and private dialogues
