Sales business function is responsible for growing Basware's cloud revenue via new customer acquisition and by driving expansion within a satisfied customer base. Through customer-centric selling and collaborative account management we lead prospects & customers through the buying process with Basware, leveraging sales platforms including CRM, CPQ and CLM that support managing the sales cycle.

We are looking for a Renewals Manager to our Renewals team in Amsterdam

Key role responsibilities

We are looking for a Renewals Manager to our central Renewals team based in Amsterdam. As part of the Renewals team at Basware, you are responsible for achieving a high level of customer retention, by driving subscription renewals for assigned territory with a global span. Our Renewals Managers work closely with our customers, interacting regularly to sell the benefits of renewal and educating them on effective license management, sell against cancellation, and confidently articulate the value of Basware.

Primary responsibilities:

  • You will own, drive, and lead the renewals process in collaboration with the account team to preserve and enhance customer contracts and relationships.
  • You will carry a product renewal revenue quota: responsibility for Basware subscription renewal contracts, revenue, and renewal rates for assigned territory.
  • Increase the renewal rate: Ensuring high renewal rates and can speak to the value Basware will bring to organisations by understanding strong product positioning and pipeline management skills. Collaboration across the organisation to develop strategies, retain existing client base, and maximize revenue growth.
  • Pipeline management: Tightly manage the renewal sales cycle including selling against cancellations, assisting customers through the sales cycle, and updating the CRM system according to documented processes.
  • Forecasting: You will maintain and report an accurate rolling 90-day forecast of renewals in your territory
  • Customer check-ins: You will periodically check in with customers throughout their contract period to ensure the health and adoption of the account.

Skills & Requirements

  • Must have experience managing customer accounts.
  • Solid understanding of Enterprise SaaS applications and collaboration technology.
  • Impeccable business acumen and a strong analytical mindset.
  • Strong communication skills; with the ability to provide excellent customer service at all times, and an ability to effectively communicate Basware’s value.
  • You will need to work cross-departmentally and be the voice of the customer. It is crucial you can lead others towards a common goal, strategize with account executives and success managers, and build strong relationships with champions in accounts to ensure the adoption and success of Basware within the organisation.
  • Able to clearly identify a problem, propose a solution, and resolve customers' issues.
  • The ability to deal with a transactional work environment. You will have to be able to excel at time management and prioritization.
  • Willing to go the extra mile with a strong work ethic; self-motivation and resourcefulness.
  • You have strong interpersonal skills and an ability to maintain strong effective relationships with both customers and colleagues.
