The Role

At Tiger of Sweden we believe that our strength as a brand is determined by the talents we succeed in attracting, developing and retaining with us. Hence, the Global HR Manager has a major impact on the company’s success, owning and continuously developing all of Tiger of Sweden´s human resources practises and processes across its different markets. The role is global, with an emphasis on the HQ team located in Sweden, as well as the local sales team members in Denmark, Norway, the UK, with strong liasons with the local HR specialists in the German, Polish, and Romanian offices.

The role is based in our HQ in Stockholm and reports to the CEO.

Priorities

The Global HR Manager is responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies aligned with Tiger of Sweden´s business strategy and coordinating all human resources activities. The key objective is to develop, attract and retain the best talent in the industry and foster a performance-oriented caring meritocracy. The HR Manager is both sparring partner to the CEO and management team in all personnel related topics, and day-to-day contact person across the company for all administrative matters.

Where local HR policies and processes exist, the Global HR Manager has the mandate to define a global standard / best practice and steer its execution to the local HR specialist or responsible manager. While the foundations are laid and most basics are fixed, the role offers lots of opportunities for an entrepreneurial and driven candidate to shape Tiger of Sweden’s HR function and its influence across the company.

What you will be doing

  • Develop, implement and continuously optimize HR policies, systems and processes aligned with the overall business strategy
  • Develop, implement and continuously optimize initiatives to attract, develop and retail the best talent in the industry
  • Oversee remuneration policies, steer salary review rounds and setting the logic for granting other benefits
  • Define the global standard / best practice with regards to HR policies, systems and processes across locations steer its execution to the local HR specialist or responsible manager
  • Act as contact person and consultant in all personnel related as well as administrative questions (e.g. accounting) for management team and employees (incl. labor law questions)
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system driving high performance and organizational development
  • Explain difficult or sensitive information; work towards compromise
  • Offer informal support to (junior) colleagues across departments and locations
  • Nurture a positive, high energy, result oriented working environment

Skills & Requirements

Knowledge / Experience

  • 5-7 years working experience in a generalist HR role
  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Management or other related field
  • Conceptual and practical knowledge across all standard HR processes
  • Proven track record in having developed, implemented and continuously optimized HR processes and policies
  • Sound knowledge of labor law, preferably in Scandinavian and further European markets

  • Ability to solve complex problems; looking at existing solutions from a new perspective; giving assessments based on various sources of information
  • Action oriented with attention to detail; willing to step in and get involved, while keeping the bigger picture in mind
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills in English and Swedish - concise, to-the-point, solution-oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work independently with limited guidance, to manage and prioritize tasks and projects, well organized and structured
  • Ability to act with integrity and adhere to highest professional standards, esp. with regards to confidentiality

Closest working relationships of the role are internally in supporting colleagues, management team and CEO in HR matters, as well as communicating with external parties (e.g., candidates, TEKO, unions, third party providers)
