We are looking for a driven Product Manager to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our excellent Automotive and Foundry team based in Stockholm/Västerås. By joining us, you will be a key player in the team and contribute to building one of the first large-scale European battery manufacturer.

About the job

As a Product Manager, you will set the future of Northvolt product offerings by developing and maintaining our Product Development Roadmap. You are interested in our technology but also thrive in working close to external customers as well as internal stakeholders. The role requires an ability to coordinate our product and technology development efforts inside Northvolt, as well as desktop research and visiting conferences to stay on top of relevant external trends. You will need to spend significant time at our current and future customers, to get a thorough understanding of their future plans and how Northvolt can be their partner of choice. You will also lead dedicated early pre-development projects together with our customers and our awesome Northvolt development team.

If you are interested in a highly technical role at the heart of Northvolt, encompassing cross functional coordination with our state-of-the-art R&D organization as well as extensive customer interaction with focus on the future of battery cells, this position is for you. You want to stay updated with the latest news from the industry, you like to understand the technology behind a battery cell and you can think strategically when synthesizing our technology roadmap with the needs of our customers, developing the roadmap of Northvolt’s future product offering.

About the team
You will be part of the Automotive and Foundry team based in Stockholm and Västerås. The total business unit is about 30 rock stars with the task to generate business from our existing and new customers, lead the complete projects from customer requirements to mass production in one of Northvolt’s factories. From customer lead to delivered product – together and in collaboration with many of the fantastic functions within Northvolt. Our goal is to grow Northvolt's business in line with the expectation to scale the company!

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain Northvolt Product Plan
  • Provide input to Northvolt Technology Plan
  • Lead early pre-development projects together with Northvolt Customers
  • Support Key Account and Business Development in the sales process

Skills & Requirements

We believe that you have:

  • MSc Engineering
  • 5+ years working experience from Automotive industry or Battery industry
  • Excellent English written and oral skills
  • Knowledge of battery industry is an advantage
  • Start-up and growth company experience is an advantage

  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment, as well as independently

  • Ability to work in a high profile and often high-pressure multi-cultural environment
  • Have plenty of grit, a can-do attitude, an entrepreneurial spirit, a great eye for quality, a sense of humor, and a curious mind
  • Is friendly, passionate & purpose-driven

  • Experience and interest in automotive industry
