Northvolt has exciting job offers for Technical Specialists within Welding, Adhesives & Sealants, and Assembly Tooling to join our bold Manufacturing Engineering team in Stockholm.

In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in developing a new generation of battery system and building a large scale European battery factory. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society, and this is your opportunity to take part in leading those efforts and help drive us to success.

The role of a Technical Specialist is to take responsibility for identifying and defining the process and equipment related activities within the technology roadmaps that lead to new or improved technologies supporting the battery systems product portfolio and the next generation shift in manufacturing technologies.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for creating and implementing manufacturing technology roadmaps to integrate state of the art joining technologies into our manufacturing processes.
  • Plan, setup, and execute trials to develop new processes and equipment in our key joining technologies.
  • Act as a technical expert to consult with specialist teams during process development and validation activities.
  • Learn and master state of the art processes and industry best practices with an eye on future trends and emerging technologies.

Skills & Requirements

We believe that you have :

  • BSc or MSc degree in Materials, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience within development of manufacturing technologies.
  • Familiar with Design of Experiments (DOE), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design for Manufacturability & Assembly (DFMEA) and QA troubleshooting tools.
  • Successful track record of leading technology development projects through prototype and production environment.
