We are building a state-of-the-art facility for research and development of the next generation battery cells, and we need your help in making it happen. If you are an experienced problem solver and longing for a greener future this opportunity as a Project Manager is for you.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the project of establishing a state-of-the-art laboratory for cell build and characterization in Gothenburg.
  • Set up and execute the project plan, contributing with knowledge and expertise in utilities, equipment sourcing, installation, and commissioning.
  • Support the R&D team to build the right technical lab capabilities. Translate high-level technical, schedule, and budget requirements into detailed project plans.
  • Coordinate all equipment purchases, installation, and commissioning. Work with external vendors and contractors to get projects complete.
  • Coordinate activities to get the building and utilities ready on schedule.
  • Oversee construction and utility activities and ensure milestones are met.
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders, landlord, sub-contractor, and supplier activities.
  • Plan and execute installation & commissioning of equipment and instrumentation, including training for test personnel.

Skills & Requirements

Education and experience

  • A relevant university degree is required.
  • 5+ years' experience from similar job.
  • Has participated in large-scale development projects with considerable multidisciplinary complexity (e.g., lab/industrial MEP builds, EPC programs, projects with stringent safety requirements).
  • Track record of similar successful project achievements.
  • Practical experience from the battery industry is a big plus.

Specific skills

  • Excellent English written and oral skills, Swedish is a plus.
  • Eager to learn and understand our large-scale production processes.
  • Must have worked in multi-cultural environment.
  • Highly organized and results-driven.
  • Proactive in solving problems and anticipating/avoiding schedule slips.
  • Has a “can do” attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Ability to work under high pressure, tight deadlines, and underdefined inputs. Self-directed, with excellent time management.
  • Open to travel.
