We are on a journey to become the number one B2C EdTech company in Europe, enabled by both organic growth and acquisitions. As a result, we are growing rapidly, and are now looking for an experienced, hands-on and prestigeless COO with an obsession to drive growth. As a COO you will report to the CEO, be part of the Management Team and take operational responsibility for Albert’s B2C business.
The role is new, and you will have a possibility to be part of shaping and evolving the role over time as we continue to grow. Together with a highly capable management team, your main responsibility will be to drive ARR growth, working closely with heads of marketing, product and tech to improve customer acquisition metrics and increasing the value delivered to our current and future customers.
With your servant leadership style, you will form and drive operational excellence with a strong commercial focus, in a public high growth environment. You are well oriented in the B2C subscription business model and have a deep level of understanding around key subscription metrics (ARR, CAC, Lifetime, ARPPU) and how they interact.
Although your previous experience and achievements are important, your personal qualifications will be decisive. As a person, you are a natural doer but find genuine joy in enabling others to deliver tangible value.
The most challenging and exciting responsibilities and deliverables for this role are:
Responsibility for B2C ARR growth
Facilitate the strategic process to align objectives all the way from long-term financial targets to short-term operational bets
Support the management team in assessing investment alternatives and their implications on the business plan
Continuously assess and improve organizational structures and processes as the company grows and faces new challenges
Actively participate in defining and executing on current and future growth avenues and eliminating growth blockers
Support management hands on when and where needed (e.g. in partner dialogues, organizational challenges/opportunities, key recruitments, investment analyses, geographic expansions, organizational culture, legal matters, etc.)
Consolidate and report on critical business KPIs towards budget, together with initiatives to address major deviations and opportunities
Constructively challenge status quo, coach, and inspire management in their mission to deliver on company objectives
Bring perspective and widen management view on alternative strategies to address challenges (e.g. using best practice examples)
Actively support initiatives to evolve and improve company culture
Skills & Requirements
The ideal teammate for us would be someone with/who:
An entrepreneurial mindset with strong operational competence and comfortable working in a fast-paced scale-up environment.
5+ years of working experience as C-level executive in a high growth environment (preferably B2C)
Previous P&L responsibility
Proven track record in driving cross-functional change- and operational projects
Strong experience from SaaS business environments

Strong organizational and analytical skills, with experience driving multiple workflows
Fluency in English
