Recycling Logistics & Production Planner

We are looking for an experienced Logistics and Production Planner to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our excellent Recycling team based in Skellefteå.  By joining us, you will be a key player in establishing our first Industrial Recycling plant and contribute to building one of the first large scale European battery factories.  

About the job

As a Logistics and Production Planner in the Recycling team, you will drive the planning of all our logistics and production activities. You will work closely with Revolt’s Production team, central S&OP, R&D, Industrialization team, Purchasing functions, logistics and material handling to maximize efficiency. As it is key to get the right IT and digital solutions in place as a tool for planning activities, you will set the demands for these systems from a Planning perspective. Furthermore, you are expected to train and mentor other planners in the processes.

About the team

Northvolt is targeting 50% recycled material in all battery cells produced by 2030. To make this happen the Revolt team has a big job to do, and will soon kick off the production planning activities for our first Industrial Recycling plant opening in Skellefteå in 2023. The Revolt team is currently about 40 people based across Stockholm, Västerås and Skellefteå. As the start of production of our first Industrial Recycling Plant in Skellefteå is getting closer, the Production team on site will gradually be built up.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure there is one accepted and aligned plan for our recycling factory (including material, production and transportation plan)
  • Plan and execute all material shipments to site
  • Cooperate closely with Revolt Production team, central S&OP, R&D, Industrialization, Purchasing functions, Logistics and Material handling to optimize on decided parameters
  • Continuously identify improvements in the planning process
  • Summarize and deliver reports from the planning area
  • Create training material, and host training for other planners as the team grows

Skills & Requirements

We believe that you have :

  • Bachelor in Industrial Engineering or similar, with main subject Logistics
  • Proven planning experience from medium to large scale production environment
  • Experience from Business Intelligence software like MS Power BI or similar
  • Experience from MRP systems, ERP and MES
  • Experience working with Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma
  • Experience from visual management and creating data driven planning management
  • Strong analytical skills, with proven problem-solving abilities
  • Fluent in English is a must
