Supply Chain Specialist

Northvolt is establishing its first facility to industrialize and produce battery systems. In order to meet the increased demand for complete battery solutions on the European market, we are establishing a highly automated, state-of-the-art production facility for battery modules and energy storage solutions in Gdansk, Poland.

Currently we are looking for Supply Chain Specialist who will be responsible for purchasing direct goods for the company.

Key responsibilities:

  • Create purchase orders for purchase materials, components or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery target
  • Ensure continuous supply of required goods and materials and communicate any supply problems which may pose a risk or impact on business operations

  • In cooperation with strategic purchasing monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers

  • Work closely with NPI engineering to maintain detailed bill of materials including revision changes

  • Maintain sufficient inventory, scheduling and receiving shipments of raw materials as well as scheduling manufacturing. Physically receive and organize inventory shipments when required

  • Initiate supply orders in the system, confirm delivery with suppliers, monitor and track supplier performance to purchase order requirement

  • Manage the cost of technical modification

  • Ensure proper master data in ERP system

Skills & Requirements

Qualifications/ Experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in purchasing/ buyer related position;
  • Experience in mechanical, electrical and electromechanical manufacturing field or similar
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 would be an advantage)
  • Fluent English

We are currently in an exciting fast-growing phase and operate in a dynamic environment, dealing with a wide range of stakeholders. We are staffing our international office in Stockholm, our R&D facility, Northvolt Labs in Västerås, as well as Northvolt Battery Systems Jeden, in Gdansk, for production of battery systems. We are also preparing for upcoming positions at the main factory, Northvolt Ett, in Skellefteå.
