Available positions:

Hardware Engineering
We are looking for skilled interns who wants to be a part of the Hardware Team in Northvolt Battery Systems in Stockholm. The Hardware Team develops, tests and verifies hardware for state of the art battery systems. You will be a direct part of the Hardware Team supporting us with various challenging tasks such as: requirement fulfilment and tests for our designs, tests in temperature chambers, statistical analysis, troubleshooting and much more. We believe you have a background in Electrical Engineering or similar. We are looking forward to your application!

Electrical Engineering
We are looking for a motivated intern to join our Battery Systems team in Stockholm as an Electrical Engineering Intern for Electronics Hardware. In this role you will support the design, development, characterization, optimization and validation of the electrical system of Northvolt’s High Performance battery systems. Other tasks may include performing simulations and prepare testing needed to verify and validate the electrical system design and developing electrical schematics and other design documentation. To be successful in this role we believe you have a background from studying electrical engineering/mechanical engineering. Any battery-related experience is a plus!

Electrical Systems Engineering

We are looking for a talented engineer to join our Battery Systems team in Stockholm as an Electrical Systems Engineering Intern. In this role you will support development and testing activities of Northvolt’s state of the art Voltpack Mobile System. Click here to find out more about the project.

You will get to support the development team in:

  • Defining and performing electrical tests to verify and validate system performance
  • Analyzing and optimizing system functionality in ESS mobile applications
  • Performing simulations to analyze and verify new system concepts
  • Development of electrical schematics and prototyping of wire harnesses

We believe that you are currently pursuing/recently graduated from a degree in Power or Electrical Engineering and any hands-on experience with electrical systems or batteries is considered a plus!

Join us for a paid 9-week summer internship and work side by side with colleagues from all over the world. You will get to work through the entire cycle from requirements to delivery and really see the result of your work.

About the internship:

With Northvolt Internships, we invite a team of selected students to participate in a paid 9 week summer placement here in Sweden.

As an Intern, you’ll work within a Northvolt department matched to your field of studies and will have the opportunity to learn from the very best – dealing with cutting edge science, engineering, and manufacturing processes.

Throughout the internship you can expect to become involved in numerous projects, carrying deliverables providing you with the opportunity to shine. Northvolt is growing at a rapid pace, and in joining us, you’d do the same.
