We are looking for engineering students within the areas of Mechanical and Thermal Engineering to join our passionate team in Stockholm.

Available positions:

Mechanical Engineering

We are looking for a curious and innovative engineer/engineering student who wants to be a part of developing and designing our battery modules, packs and interface units. You will be a direct part of one of the engineering teams in Stockholm, supporting us with development, testing and conceptual evaluation of parts related to battery module design, pack design and battery interface unit design. Your tasks would be a mix of practical prototype building in our prototype facility in close proximity to our main office in Stockholm as well as CAD assignments creating 3D models and drawings. We believe you have a background in studying Mechanical Engineering, Design & Product Development Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering or similar and likes hands-on work.

Thermal Engineering

We are looking for a talented intern who wants to be a part of the Thermal System Testing of our current Energy Storage System development. You will be a direct part of the Thermal Engineering team in Stockholm, supporting us with the testing activities of our thermal system as well as preparing our test rigs. We believe you have a background in studying Thermal Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar and likes hands-on work and the skill of managing different test-setups and test planning will be very valuable for you as an aspiring engineer.

Join us for a paid 9-week summer internship and work side by side with colleagues from all over the world. You will get to work through the entire cycle from requirements to delivery and really see the result of your work.

The person we are looking for is goal oriented, passionate, creative, curious and eager to learn. You will get the chance to have a real impact on our success story in Sweden (to start with) and see the results of your work. Our organisation requires and values great self-discipline and a natural talent to make things happen. You will be essential to help the team make next-generation tools and interfaces to enable the greenest and smartest batteries in the world.


About the internship:

With Northvolt Internships, we invite a team of selected students to participate in a paid 9 week summer placement here in Sweden.

As an Intern, you’ll work within a Northvolt department matched to your field of studies and will have the opportunity to learn from the very best – dealing with cutting edge science, engineering, and manufacturing processes.

Throughout the internship you can expect to become involved in numerous projects, carrying deliverables providing you with the opportunity to shine. Northvolt is growing at a rapid pace, and in joining us, you’d do the same.
