You will also develop the coin cell testing with long-term testing, testing at diferent temperatures and correlating the results we obtain to other materials properties that we measure for the CAM material. The actual making of coin cells are normally perofmred by our technicians, but you need to ensure that they have good procedures to follow so that we get accurate results and a safe work environment and also ensure that the apparatus used are in good working order and calibrated according to the highest standards. The role will report to the director of QC CAM.

About the team:

The QC CAM team is expected to grow, and right now consists of two analytical chemists, one QC engineer, 12 QC technicians, the director of QC CAM and one manager for the technicians.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Drive the development, validation and implementation of electrochemical testing of CAM.
  • Engage in other types of characterisation of CAM (chemical and physical characterisation).
  • Maintaining instruments to a high standard.
  • Drive operational excellence by being a key player in day-to-day problem solving and process improvement exercises.
  • Understand and internalize QA/QC principles in every day functions.

  • Work across many parts of the organisation, collaborating with Production, R&D, Process engineering and Quality.

  • Training of technicians.

  • Work with external suppliers, institutes and academic organizations as well as customers.

The person we are looking for is a team player, curious and eager to learn. You will get the chance to have a real impact on our success story in Sweden. About the company

Northvolt makes green batteries for a blue planet. Affordable cells and high-quality battery systems. All manufactured with a record-low carbon footprint. Purposely built to provide Europe with the opportunity to switch to renewable energy – efficiently and entirely.

To accomplish this, we do things differently. We design, manufacture, and recycle everything under one roof. We even build our own factories. All this is incredibly challenging and requires us to think in unconventional ways. We’re constantly experimenting, learning and adapting to make batteries so great – they will one day make oil history.

Northvolt is growing fast. We’re staffing our international office in Stockholm, our R&D facility, Northvolt Labs, in Västerås, as well as our Gdansk facility for production of battery systems. We're also hiring for our gigafactory Northvolt Ett in Skellefteå, Sweden. We want to work with smart individuals from all disciplines. Strong individuals that truly want to make a positive impact on the future. Those of us already on board share a passion for our mission. We’re prepared to work hard in pursuit of excellence. We enjoy the ride and our main drive is to make a difference for real. As a team, we’re dedicated to thinking new, working hard and having fun.
