We are Schibsted Denmark,
We operate Denmark’s number one marketplace with more than 2 million unique monthly users, while Bilbasen is Denmark’s leading marketplace for trading cars. Bilinfo is the preferred dealer management system in Denmark, serving as a strong link between Bilbasen.dk and the car dealers. In total, we receive around 32 million visits per month.
DBA, Bilbasen and Bilinfo are now in great company with Nordic marketplaces such as Blocket in Sweden, FINN in Norway and Tori.fi in Finland.
Schibsted is investing in sustainability and green transformation. We hope our ability to innovate will help us develop DBA and Bilbasen market positions further and help us reach the objective of creating the strongest trading ecosystem in Denmark.
What you’ll be up to
Your mission in this role is to maintain a strong tech culture, build strong teams as we grow, set the strategy roadmap, set its direction and with passion inspire, motivate and challenge our teams. You will plan, communicate and make the necessary investments to align the organization with its vision for its technological needs. You are expected to take Schibsted Denmark into the future being the number one marketplace in the country.
You’ll collaborate very closely with the Chief Product Officer to define and deliver the Product Roadmap and you’ll be an integral part of the Danish Management Team. You’ll be also the company responsible for Privacy in collaboration with the Schibsted Privacy team. The role reports directly to the Danish CEO.

You are a business-minded techie, on product and engineering solutions and have experience as well as a gut feeling for what is working and yields competitive and true business value.
You communicate with transparency and set up clear deadlines and protocols.

As our CTO you will continue to build and manage a cross-functional engineering team, specifically coach and guide our senior tech leaders in order for them to do the same.

In short, you have solid leadership experience, deep technical expertise, and the ability to identify, evaluate and/or implement market-leading solutions related to end-users. Having a proven track record related to lead-time and quality improvements in a tech unit is essential.
