The marketing business function is responsible for guiding prospects & customers throughout their journey with Basware. Through providing thought-leading insights, practical advice and a roadmap for automation, in partnership with our Sales function, we enable organizations to simplify operations, spend smarter and drive the transformation of their Finance & Procurement functions. Leveraging industry-leading marketing platforms including Hubspot, LeadForensics and many more, we activate multi-channel marketing programs to help prospects get informed, build their business case, select the right-fit solutions, and ensure our customers get the most value from their Basware solutions.
We are looking for a Senior Business Development Specialist , based in Sydney, to join our growing global BDR practice.
Key role responsibilities
Business development is a key function within the marketing team. Your role will be to proactively develop quality, enterprise-level pipeline through e-mail, telephone and social media outreach and to qualify and nurture incoming enquiries to the point of ‘sales-ready lead’. You will be a key bridge between sales and marketing working to enhance and support marketing campaigns and working closely with account executives and sales leadership to target accounts and develop quality leads.
This is a great opportunity for someone with some Business Development experience, looking to take a next step, with an ambition to develop a career in enterprise SaaS sales. You will be working closely with Enterprise sales teams and interacting with key decision-makers at some of the world’s largest organisations, exploring their business challenges and connecting these to the benefits of Basware solutions.
Develop sales opportunities for Account Executives within a defined set of target accounts, through a combination of inbound lead qualification and outbound business development activities
Developing relationships with target accounts, expanding your contact base and understanding their critical issues, business initiatives and decision-making processes
Drive leads through the early stages of the sales process by regularly communicating with prospects, sending appropriate content and hosting high-level demos
Handover qualified leads to the Account Executive team at an appropriate maturity status, initiating calls and face-to-face appointments with Account Executives
Coach junior members of the BDR team to increase performance
12-18 months of Business Development experience in B2B enterprise sales and able to demonstrate a track record of success
Ability to credibly interact with senior stakeholders at global enterprise accounts, explore business challenges and present Basware solutions in a compelling way
Highly organised and structured working style
Ability to effectively collaborate and spar with Account Executives
Proactive and results-driven
Strong data management and research skills required
Proficient in Dynamics CRM and HubSpot preferred
